I can't say I'm happy about the rabbits either.

It seems to me there are more than enough orphans in the world to go round.

I am not happy about that neither and they should give them scientists a taste of their own medicine and give them head transplants or something and see how they like it!

But whose heads? I was going to say 'sea monsters., but it strikes me that's a bit mean to sea monsters.

I would just swap all of their own heads around and then they will be the only ones that have to have it and it will still teach them a lesson I reckon.

It's a funny thing. Womb transplants somehow seem to go against some notion of fate/divine plan that means these people aren't "meant" to have babies - although heart and other organ transplants aren't seen as going against some fate/divine plan that those people are "meant" to die.
True, I'm not a particular fan of IVF in general and the whole 'neglect the orphans in favour of your own "perfect" baby' attitude. If you want a kid that badly, why not adopt? But, then again, why is it all about the selfishness of the fertility-challenged - why shouldn't those people who can have babies also be subject to the argument of 'with all the orphans in the world, you should be adopting not procreating', too?
Why are wombs the last taboo?-

Are wombs the 'last taboo'? What about testicle transplants?
I don't know why it makes me uncomfortable but it does.
I'd happily let someone have my heart after I'd finished with it, wouldn't feel comforable about my womb though, and I've no idea why. It just feels different...-

...Or maybe they'll be able to use the ones from hysterectomies...
And there are always surrogates, why do through an operation unnecessarily? Unless giving birth is essential too...
From friends' descriptions avoiding that bit sounds like a good plan. 'Too posh to push... or have anything in the womb at all'.
