Twice tonight I've rescued the same big field spider from our bath.
My technique is to get them to run onto a strip of loo paper and then drop that onto the floor so they can scuttle off - preferably somewhere else.
One bottle of peroni later this one is back in the bath.
How stupid are they?
Or do they just like sliding down?

Maybe it's its brother, i put them out the window or door to make sure they dont come back in again

You're right - I'll open the back door next time and fling loo roll out into the yard.
I like having them in the house really.Ithey eat flies and I really hate flies, but spending your evenings being dazzled by bath enamel can't be fun. Maybe outside is better for them.

Pro Yeah, see it's the annoyance thing. They know you're not going to squish 'em so they play silly buggers!
Here's what you do...
Get the long pipe thing on your vacuum cleaner and suck 'em up.
Open the window and point the pipe at next door.
Stick the vacuum on blow and shoot the little sod into someone else's territory.

Pro Surely I can't be the **only** person on the planet that //kills// annoying spiders?!
Even the arachnaphones at work will not kill em, but can sometimes manage a weighed down glass (spider: tiny, glass: medium, weight: 4 tonne or higher).
If they annoy me enough to take notice of their existance in a bad way, then they have earned death
NB any spelling mistakes here are fully justified by:
a. the time
b. how tired I am
c. I can't spell

Plastic mug over spider, slide mug with protesting spider under it on to card, open window, throw spider out, retain mug and card for next foolish spider....
On the other hand, if I'm somewhere where my spider catching equipment is not to hand, I'm happy to pick them up and throw them out. It's mice/rats I can't cope with.

Do you think that spiders go to school to learn how to be silly?? They all fall in the bath don't they?! They must have hopped the wag the day they were shown how to get out the bath!

Maybe they are just waiting for someone to turn the taps on because they would like a bath or maybe it is all the whiteness just makes them go snowblind and so then they forget where they left their web when they climbed in so I reckon you can tell which one it is by if they have got water wings on then they are probably waiting for a bath and if they are squinting then it is probably the second one and they need some dark glasses.

Bearing in mind that the largest spiders are invariably female, then don't be surprised to find them in the bath - a place to escape from the trials and tribulations of the day, to relax, to get away from the kids. Why should spiders be different to any other ladies?
You are more considerate than me as I crush the bastids if they are in my home. Outside, I am respectful of their place and move around them. Ta.

I take them outside to the garden and hopefully they can catch some of the flies buzzing about near the compost heap.
