Anyone else getting visitor comments from some bloke who appears to be thrilled about a certain hotel chain?
He's quite casual about it "oooh, that's a lovely city, we stayed at blah". But he's been by twice now and I smell chopped meat product.

hmmmm... maybe i am paranoid.
Yeah, I had him on one of mine, turned me talking about the Liverpool footy Derby into the horse racing derby... then of course Chester has horse racing and he knows a lovely hotel...
Can we report him to the thought police or something? He's not a member, he keeps bobbing in as a visitor.
Could mention it in the help blog, problem is blocking him would end up needing to block the IP address which is more problematic than simply deleting someone ![]()
Or naming the other hotels I really enjoy staying in might be more 'touche!'... It has to be said I do love an Ibis. they are all exactly the same. Even the sockets on the wall are in the same place in every hotel room. The carpets are the same. The soap is always in the same place. It's so comfie-familiar... like coming home.
Yay - take that Andrew Thingy!!!
And I mean it too!
all hail the Holiday Inn...
I once stayed in The Gore Hotel in London. Now that's a hotel. I slept in Judy Garland's bed. (It's ok, she's sold it to the hotel, she wasn't in it).
No I haven't had any of those. I sometimes get invitations from people who has a BCUK account but no blog, and wants me to visit their commercial homepage. But that's about all.
I've had a couple of those too - like you are going to be dazzled by their product. Maybe it's to get the page hits up - it's certainly annoying.
Once, I wrote a message in someones (new) blog and the next time I visited, the blog entry on which I had responded to was changed to something commercial so my comment did not make sense at all! Weird! And when looking through the new entries, everything was just about selling something...
Ew... selling stuff.. so tacky - and very weird as well.
The bare-faced... almost subtle... cheek!
I know. Cheeky monkey. I've pointed this out to him and removed the hotlink from my blog. Maybe I should write to his hotel chain and complain...
Hehehe! you should direct him to join the crew of the Sea Monkey, we need a good cabin boy
Guybrush is //useless//!
Well, reading between the lines, a lot of my spam must be about hotels. Something about seeing inside the Paris Hilton, and someplace called Stuffet Inn..... There are, it appears, size issues before entry....
I don't get anything like that - I am almost put out! At work I am always getting emails suggesting I need to buy nail clippers for my pet. You'd be amazed at the variations of reasoning - grooming, pet's comfort, saving my furniture...
If only I had one!!
Yes. This sort of thing happens from time to time on this website.
You come my hotel? I do special price!!
They haven't been back for a while. Maybe Mr Hotel got the message.
