Maisy suits a kitten, but not the aloof cats they grow into. It's too cutesy. I intend to call my cat Cordelia. Or Marge. I approve of Lola, though.
-
- 2008-05-16 @ 15:04:22
Yeah, but Cordelia is the upperty madam from Buffy.. oh I see... or Buffy? no mebbe not.. I like Marge, and she can be margie while she's a baby kitty

Nooo dey be stealin mai cat naem!
Maggie is also good.-
- 2008-05-16 @ 15:13:25
Sorry - didn't realise you had dibs.
I knew dreadful woman called Maggie - couldn't do that to a kitty. And then there's Thatcher. No; may as well just call her Kick-me.-
- http://soyunperdedor.blog.co.uk
- 2008-05-16 @ 15:15:10
Ahem, Maggie was my nanna's name.
Actually, she was rather vile too.
Oh, call her Apple.
-
- 2008-05-16 @ 15:38:37
Ha, ha, ha! or Paltrow?! Gwyneth is too silly.
-

- 2008-05-16 @ 15:39:45
Au contraire, I find Gwyneth to be a superb name for a cat! Gwen is even better!
-
- 2008-05-16 @ 15:44:05
Hmm.. potato, pertarto..
If she were a welsh cat would be fab, but she lives in Leyland.-
- http://soyunperdedor.blog.co.uk
- 2008-05-16 @ 15:45:39
Leylani?
-
- 2008-05-16 @ 15:52:07
Ooh, if it has hippy characteristics - Leyliney

- 2008-05-16 @ 15:53:14
Hmm...
I'm still fond of Apple.
Do pass on my suggestions won't you?-
- 2008-05-16 @ 15:54:46
I've been passing them on as they've come in and she promises to read blog over weekend too. I think Apple is lovely.
-
- 2008-05-17 @ 11:17:59
I think potato would be a very good name
-
- 2008-05-17 @ 22:30:42
Interesting... or Miss Carrot?
-
- 2008-05-16 @ 15:10:53
She is absolutely adorable!

A Swedish name would maybe be "Maja", "Missan" or "Molly".
You would probably smile if you knew how we named our cats!
-
- 2008-05-16 @ 15:14:08
Oh tell me!!
-
- 2008-05-17 @ 09:47:25

-
- 2008-05-16 @ 15:39:51
Pat.
Pat the cat...-
- 2008-05-16 @ 15:42:37
...sat on the mat, getting fat, eating a rat... eew, maybe not, made self feel queasy now!
Do you remember Peter and Jane and Pat the dog?-
- 2008-05-16 @ 15:44:44
Oh dear lord yes, yes I do !
er, thanks !-
- 2008-05-16 @ 15:50:29
I know quite.. but glad you do becuase in one of the early books there was this line about P&J playing and then...
'And Pat looked on'.
What the hell did that mean? i don't remember ever getting a satisfactory answer out of a teacher, it annoyed the hell out of me when I was five and it still irks me.

- 2008-05-17 @ 21:39:08
Not Maisy... I'll think of my niece.
Though, come to think of it, she still has that cutesy look, befitting a Maisy, despite becoming teen aged.-
- 2008-05-17 @ 22:35:31
She's doing well then, most teenagers I know have a surly look, befitting a little smart arse. Having said that I'd adopy my mate's daughter, Millie, in a flash.
She just makes me laugh and laugh... like, she turned round to my mate and said: 'Don't worry, mum, I'm not going to make the same mistakes my sister did.' Fantastic. Her sister was almost paralytic with rage!-
- 2008-05-17 @ 22:41:07
I don't think we've much longer before the surly stage! But, we may be lucky... her brother is doing it brilliantly, so he may be doing it for both of them.
-
- 2008-05-18 @ 10:51:49
Does he do that funny grunt language? My step brothers only spoke that at home well into their twenties.
-
- 2008-05-18 @ 12:09:39
Totally fluent in grunt and withering looks.
-
- 2008-05-18 @ 11:36:46
I feel I have to comment...
Thank you to all, it's been a very interesting read!!
I'm afraid to say the original name has stuck - Maisey it is! (even if it's spelt different, but who am I to conform to standards!)
She's still adorable, has learnt to purr but still squeaks -rather than meows!!
