Life, but not as i know it

Ok, what do you people do in the evening?

Post dissertation/MA life is weird.

So far I have:
* been up the garden for the first time in three months and assessed weeding/pruning needs
* eaten yummy tea of oatcakes, smoked salmon and creme fraiche
* drunk two equally yummy g&ts
* tidied my study of 15 text books, 52 completed surveys and a small tidal wave of papers and journals, notes and bits of paper with strange flow diagrams on them
* put away clean washing
* danced about a bit to Lee 'Scratch' Perry
* written emails

It's only 7.30pm... more gin, vicar?

Exactly!!! What are we to do with all this free time? I think you should come down here and we should get very, very drunk.

  I think so too. Where's me coat, where's me passport? Don't think my boss is going to be so chuffed with me disappearing off again though. You tell them it's not real leave, you're writing a dissertation 12 hours a day but do they care...? Nada. Non uno jot. *No idea why I thought Spanish might be appropriate - sorry!*
  
  I'm learning the violin; exercise another bit of my brain for a while. I can't take any more essay writing. Could you? Someone at work was suggesting I pursue a grant to do more research *"There may be trouble ahead..."*

hey you!!!..Now your done you can have a life ..your brain just hasn't worked it out yet, next time your in the garden really look close at everything in it and feel your freedom ..

  Education makes you free though - it just takes so much of your time.
  
  Does this explain why I have now done the ironing, sorted out my pilates kit for tomorrow and a book I want to lend to someone? I can't get over I have the time to do these things, it's so odd.

    This evening I did Pilates too...
    
    All I do in the garden is pick up dog poo...
    
    And wish all growing things the best (under difficult circumstances and dog poo)..

I went to choir practice.
I've written five real letters.
I've continued my games of Scrabulous and Scramble.
I've watched TV (for the second time this month....)

I've thought about blogging... but I blogged a bit to let off steam before i went to choir practice.

I've read a few blogs and commented.

And I'm enjoying listening to JS Bach's Cello Suites. (My favourite string instrument!)

    They are most excellent solo cello works, and if I were going to learn a string instrument, it would be to learn to play some of these.
    
    You may well have heard the occasional snippet of them, there are a couple of movements which get used as background music on films/TV.
